Rebel
ByWhat are we here for? God created us to Glorify him. So in word, thought, and deed Lecrae’s mission is to do simply that. Understanding that Christians live as regenerate (born again) people in an unregenerate (not born again) world, he knows the odds are against him. With no ambitions of being the next big thing or dreams of fame and wealth, Lecrae simply wants to point listeners in the direction of the Cross.

Wow
This really is one of the greatest Christian albums I’ve ever heard. I like nearly every song on here (Beautiful Feet isn’t my favorite), and as stated previously, the lyrical depth is great. This album rivals Christology in Layman’s Terms by The Ambassador (a classic!). My wife and I both love rebel and are both encouraged by it. Praise God!
Oh, by the way, does anyone know why this isn’t on CMR?
Wow!
This album introduced me to Christian Rap. Lecrae has to be in the top 5 for Christian Rappers. God is Speaking through this brother! Must Have Album!Buy It!
awesome cd, thanks!
This cd is amazing, it has awesome lyrics and fresh beats. I bought it for my boyfriend who is really into rap but it isn’t positive. I thought this would be the perfect, positive, christian alternative to the crap he listens to and WOW was it the perfect fit. He LOVES this cd and it has even helped him grow closer to God. God bless all of you who buy this cd, it’s well worth it!
Lecrae is a Great Man of God!
Lecrae is reaching a culture(Youth) that we are unable to reach without his help and obedience to his call! Keep it up Lecrae! This is top notch!
SPEECHLESS
Wow, after listening to this album I was speechless! Every single song on here is amazing. This album exceeds the expectations of even the first 2, which were still awesome. Unlike other albums, I never skipped any of the songs. That’s how good all of them are. Each and every one whether fast or slow had something to say to me. Lecrae is so real in his lyrics! If I could have rated this higher than 5 stars then I would have!
Here are my thoughts on the tracks:
Intro – Even though it’s an intro I still love it…Be a rebel!
Don’t Waste Your life – Instant classic. I think it’s most people’s favorite track in the album
Go Hard – This was my favorite song because I like those bangers!
Identity – I love this song because it talks about how our identities are found in Christ and not things of this world. Plus the colab with DA TRUTH and JR make it amazing.
Indwelling Sin – A battle with temptations in ourselves. I think we all have that. I love the lyrics in this one.
Breathin to Death – Again, Lecrae speaks from his heart.
Truth – great song! talks about the truth for people who think Christianity isn’t real and that we are here to live for ourselves. However Lecrae speaks the truth without banging people over the head with arguments.
Desperate – I can identify with this one so much! When we feel so desperate for the Lord, He is there! This song touched me the most out of all the songs on this album.
Change – Catchy song, great message, banging beat – what’s not to like?
Fall back – Great song with Trip Lee! Talks about the how we need to be careful around the media – don’t fall in a trap.
Live Free – Another of my favorites. This song has a different sound, but it’s so good! I love how it proclaims our freedom from sin and flesh. We are free!
Got Paper – Another banger! Lecrae says “You got money, you got paper. So what who cares?? I got Jesus, baby!” Love it.
I’m a saint – Lecrae’s gonna give it to you straight every time! He’s not gonna sugar coat anything or dumb it down. If I could be anything, I’d be a saint!
The Bride – This song talks about the church as the bride of Christ. It’s a really good song that explains what the church really is.
Beautiful Feet – Good song with a story and a great colab with Dawntoya.
So as you can see, I enjoyed every song on this album. I also advise you to go to Reach Records website and read the lyrics while you listen to the songs. The lyrics are so deep, yet each song is still a banger! I love it! Lecrae’s going strong!
rebel truth
The traxx are straight fire must buy has been the greatest HHH cd I have heard in a long time while I can’t say that because 20/20 ,owr, chop chop was serious too so but evry track in this is serious lyrical theology like shaii lynne say Love it! It is great to hear someone so relevant and sold-out to Jesus. Referencing Bible verses in a song is a great way to introduce people to God’s promises. May we all be rebels for God!
Better than Regular Hiphop
I purchased this item becasue i got tired of listening to the music on the radio. I have been saved for years now, but listening to this brothers music puts a fresh face on hip hop.
I wish i had listed to this hiphop before anything else. I have deleted all secular music from my mp3 player and replaced it with Lecrea. Thank God that he allowed me to find this artist. its a breath of freash air. this music is so needed in the world today.
Its the lyrics
Even if rap music is not your style, it would be very difficult to find an album that has so much lyrics that are God centered. So if you are someone who is looking for some direction, and music speaks to you, and you dont want to waste your life, and need some ideas on how to “Rebel” this album is a good place to start.
Another Great Album
I think Lecrae is one of the greatest christian artists of our day. He and his friends from reach records are doing a great work. They have the most doctrinally sound lyrics put to great music. Keep up the good work guys.
Jaw dropping
What can I say that someone else hasn’t said better? I’m not even a huge rap fan but this album made my jaw drop – every song was so amazingly powerful, hard-hitting, lyrically astounding, and … well I could go on for days. I feel like one place both rap and Christian artists routinely seem to struggle is making each song _unique_ – but Lecrae seems to have had no trouble with that, each song has it’s own distinct sound and each has a lyrical focus, they don’t all just blend together. I was also shocked by how unabashedly Christ-oriented the lyrics are, without dumbing down or sugar-coating anything. It’s simply an _experience_ listening to this album. I cannot recommend it enough.
